Thank you for your interest in Women Connect!

  • Women have busy lives. Fulfilling all of our roles – work and life – is a balancing act. Too often, our well-being falls farther and farther down the list. Almost 80 percent of the women surveyed told Working Mother magazine they often put off taking care of themselves because they’re so busy taking care of other family members' health.

Methodist Hospital Foundation launched Women Connect as a way of educating and empowering all women to prioritize their health by exploring a variety of women’s health topics. We wanted to create a community where women can draw strength and reassurance from each other, ask uncomfortable questions, and overcome obstacles to better health.

Of course. Many of the topics we cover impact men’s health as well – whether we’re talking about proper nutrition or the prevention of heart disease. Plus, attending is a great way to support the spouse, partner, mother, daughter or sister in your life.

We want this to be a community of women doing good for themselves and for others. All of our events and communications include an appeal to support a Methodist project or program that improves the health of people in our communities.

For example, all funds raised at our first event supported Methodist Mobile 3D Mammography. Together, we helped more than a dozen uninsured women at The Latino Center of the Midlands receive mammograms. We also raise money for things like charitable care and home medical equipment for patients in need.

There is no expectation. If you choose to donate at one of our events, your gift – large or small – will make a difference. The size of the gift isn’t important; it’s the impact we can have together.

We try to make impactful giving as easy as possible.

To make a gift, you can:

    • Text SUPPORTMETHODIST to 243-725. You’ll receive a link to donate.
    • Visit our website supportmethodist.org.

Every gift is appreciated and will impact women and others in our communities.

We’re planning two live events a year – one in late winter/spring, another in the summer/early fall. We'll keep you posted on the details. Between live events, we'll be in touch with reminders and important information so we can all work together to prioritize our health.

Thank you for being a part of Women Connect!

Methodist Hospital Foundation makes our communities a healthier place to live. Our donors’ reach extends to all aspects of the Methodist mission: the way we care, educate and innovate.

Our work focuses on four key areas: cancer care, charitable care, community service and education. Our programs and projects touch more than 64,000 lives every year. We’re especially proud that 100 percent of every donation benefits the programs or projects our donors choose – not one cent pays for administrative costs.
