Meet One of Our Newest Donors
Jerris is making a difference in her grandfather's memory
We want to send a big THANK YOU to Omaha sixth grader Jerris Schultz.
Jerris visited our office earlier this year to drop off a donation — a tribute to her Grandpa Tony who died almost two years ago. He praised the care he received at Methodist while he was battling cancer.
Jerris said she woke up one morning last summer wanting to do something good. She decided to open a lemonade stand with the money going to Methodist. Neighbors rallied around her, and Jerris raised $160 dollars!
She told us: “I knew I should definitely donate to something good. And, there are so many people who can’t afford their medicine or staying in the hospital.”
Her donation is supporting charitable care, which helps cover prescription costs.
We’re grateful for her and for all of our donors. Big or small, every gift truly makes a difference.
Jerris isn’t done with philanthropy. To do even more good, she said she’s thinking of hosting a bracelet stand this summer.
