We are thrilled to spotlight Suzanne Kotula. She and her husband, Dr. Rudy Kotula, serve as our Women's Health Empower Sponsors.

Suzanne recently toured the Methodist Mobile 3D Mammography coach and saw firsthand the difference she and Rudy are making in women’s health.

A lifelong advocate, volunteer and former nurse, Suzanne believes deeply in education, accessibility and empowering women to care for themselves and their families.

When Suzanne stepped inside the Methodist Mobile 3D Mammography coach for the first time, she couldn’t help but smile.

“It's incredible what you all are doing,” she said. “I'm a big advocate for women and women's health, and I'm happy that we can support Methodist Mobile 3D Mammography.”

Suzanne’s belief in accessible care is rooted in her rural Iowa upbringing. She comes from a long family line of physicians — the kind who took snowmobiles out to deliver babies and stitched up neighbors in the backyard.

“My family was always accessible. I developed a lifelong commitment to helping people from them," she said. "I learned to give back.”

That passion led her to a career in nursing and eventually to Omaha, where she and her husband, Dr. Rudy Kotula, continue to champion community health.

As one of our Women's Health Empower Sponsors, Suzanne is motivated by the mission of ensuring every woman has access to education, support and preventive care.

"We always want to be there to help," she said.

Now a dedicated “professional volunteer,” Suzanne serves on the Methodist Hospital Foundation Board and multiple committees. Her driving force is simple: “Nothing makes me feel more fulfilled than giving back through meaningful organizations.”

For Suzanne, giving isn’t an obligation; it’s a lifelong calling. And generations of women will benefit from it.
